Patricia Ann "Patty" Mercado

Patricia "Patty" Ann Mercado, loving mother, sister, and grandmother, died peacefully at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was 85. Patty was a surrounded by her closest loved ones and dedicated medical team.
Born on December 14, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Patricia Mullen.
Patty was a devoted Roman Catholic with an unwavering faith in God. In addition to her faith, she was a proud Irish-American woman who enjoyed visiting the country, engaging in various traditions, and she was especially fond of the lead singer of U2, Bono.
She was preceded in death by her brother William and sister Theresa. She was also predeceased by her youngest daughter, Donna A. Mercado in December of 2006.
Patricia is survived by her two remaining children, Diane M. Mercado and Jesse J. Mercado with his wife Roseayne; her sisters, Regina Lucchesse and Christine Pepe; as well as her grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at her former residence in Beacon, NY for immediate family members only.
