Pat Miller, 89, Neenah, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on January 1, 1936, in Neenah, daughter of Ernestine and Frank Schmidt. Pat was united in marriage with David Q. Miller "Dave", on November 27, 1954, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Menasha. Upon graduating from Neenah High School, Pat briefly held a clerical job for a local paper manufacturer and later worked part-time at Sammy's Pizza in Neenah, along with Dave. Pat and Dave purchased Sammy's Pizza in 1976, and to this day, Sammy's Pizza remains a family-owned and operated business. Pat was a devoted member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah.
Pat dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for Dave, her husband of 59 years, and their eight children. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and constantly taking care of everyone she loved. She will be fondly remembered for her willingness to lend a helping hand and her home was always open to family and friends in need. Pat looked forward to her weekly breakfast at Four Seasons Restaurant in Neenah, dinners at Dick & Joan's Supper Club, and Van Abel's broasted chicken. She never appeared to be 89 years old, nor the mother of eight, and she stayed active until her illness by, walking two miles on her treadmill, twice a day. She loved watching any court shows on TV, especially Judge Judy, and always looked forward to a glass of Lambrusco before bed each night.
As a mother of eight, grandmother of nine, and great grandmother of eight, Pat never forgot anyone's birthday, wedding anniversary, etc. She instilled her strong work ethic and the importance of always doing the right thing in her family and led by example always relying on her strong sense of humor to get her through life.
Pat is survived by her children: Deborah (Jim) Bemowski, Karen (friend Suzanne) Miller, Dan, Tom (friend Jerry) Miller, Mary Jo (Jeff) Beschta, and Christine Miller; nine grandchildren: Eric (Angie), Ryan, Stacey, Matthew (Lauren), Jamie (Lucas), Jesse, Sean (Katie), Kaitlyn, and John; eight great grandchildren: Rylee, Lincoln, Tenley, Kennedy, Gabby, Ben, Charlie, and Harper; sister in-law, Lu Schmidt and brother in-law, Paul Miller, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her mother & father in-law, and her parents, Pat was further preceded in death by her husband, Dave; sons, Jim Miller and Steve Miller; brother, Richard Schmidt, and many other in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.
Pat's family would like to thank Dr. Rachell Ayers and the staff at ThedaCare, as well as Lexi, her hospice nurse for the compassionate care they provided to Mom.
"Bye, Love you, See you Mom!"
