Patricia Lynn Miner, beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the Evergreen Samaritan Hospice in Albany, Oregon. She was 80 years old. Born on December 14, 1944, in Long Beach, California, Patty became a proud Oregonian at a young age and was raised in Albany. After graduating high school, she left Oregon to travel the world, raising her children on military bases across various states and countries - a journey that shaped the adventurous and nurturing woman we all came to love. Patty eventually returned to the Oregon Coast and made her mark in the community as a bartender at the Sandbar Bar and Grill, where she worked for 18 years before retiring in 2020. Known affectionately as "the best bartender in town," she built a tight-knit circle of friends and regulars who cherished her warmth, humor, and generosity. Creative and endlessly talented, Patty filled her home and the lives of those around her with the beauty of her handmade crochet blankets, baby clothes, Christmas decorations, and her famously delicious cooking. Her cakes - from whimsical birthday creations to breathtaking wedding masterpieces - were a true labor of love. Her green thumb brought vibrant life to every garden she touched, and her gift for crafting knew no bounds. Patty had a passion for Clowns and collected all things Clowns from a young age. Above all, Patty loved to care for others. Her selflessness was the foundation of her character. Her family remembers her as loving, caring, and devoted. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved partner, Adam Parsell, enjoying crafts, cooking, and working in the yard together. She especially cherished their motorcycle rides and doted on their Goldendoodle, Sadie, who brought her so much joy. Patty's days were made brighter by the simple things - watching hummingbirds, a passion she shared with her eldest daughter, and sending daily loving messages that brought smiles to her family's faces. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will live on through her family: Partner: Adam Parsell; Son: Daniel Miner (wife Patty Miner); Daughters: Melissa French (husband Richard French), Shannon Miner; Grandchildren: Nicholas French (wife Kayla), Jamie Mehrer (husband Jim Mehrer), Kayla Jo Lee (husband Spencer), Aidan Volkman; Great-Grandchildren: Ryker French, Brody French, Liam French, Cannon Mehrer, Colton Mehrer; Brothers: Eddie Jarvie (wife Robin), Don McCrary (wife Linda), Bob McCrary (wife Bess); Sister: Penny Martinez; and Beloved Goldendoodle: Sadie. She was preceded in death by her dear son Trevor Massey, her mother Claudia Jarvie, and her father Walter Jarvie. Patty's love for her family was immense and unwavering. Everything she did, she did for others, a shining example of compassion and grace. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. A Celebration of Life will be held in
Newport, Oregon, at a later date for friends and family. Details regarding the location and time will be shared soon.
