Patricia A. Pagoria

Patricia (Pat) A. Pagoria (nee Soboleski), age 81, of Mokena, IL died peacefully at home on June 9th, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Nick; daughter Nicole Yaniz (Tony) and grandchildren Analia and Tony. Dear daughter of the late Julius and Anna (nee Kotowski) Soboleski, sister of the late Richard (late, Judith) Soboleski, Dolores (Don) Chapman, and sister, Julie (Victor) Victa and many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends. Pat left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She was extremely hard working, disciplined, and outspoken about her high standards. Most of all, she had an unmatched passion for her family. Her dedication to Nick and Nicole was absolute and unquestionable.

Born and raised in Chicago, Pat worked as a switchboard operator at a law firm before meeting her husband at a bar called The Lodge. Upon first sight, Nick was stricken by Pat's "movie star" looks and professed to a friend he would marry her. One year from their first date, Nick fulfilled that promise in 1973. They started their life together in Chicago Heights where they stayed for 38 years until moving to Mokena, IL. Pat had a few jobs throughout the years, but her primary focus was being a mother and wife and taking care of her home. She was very particular in her upkeep of the house; everyone knew not to walk on the front room carpet since Pat didn't like to see footprints. She had additional interests like going to craft shows, collecting antiques, and feeding the birds and squirrels. She will always be remembered for her warm smile and infectious laughter.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 from 9:00 AM until time of prayers at 11:00 AM and then to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 19515 115th Avenue, Mokena IL 60448 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
