In Loving Memory of Patricia A. Parsons
Patricia A. Parsons, age 87, of Wakefield, formerly of Medford, passed away peacefully at Winchester Hospital on October 27, 2025.
Born in Somerville on November 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Winston E. and Gertrude (Boudreau) Withrow.
Patricia was raised in Somerville, where she met her husband following his service in the Marine Corps. The two married within a year and began their life together in Medford, welcoming their daughter before settling in Wakefield in 1978. A devout Catholic, Patricia was a longtime parishioner of St. Florence Church. She was an avid gardener who took great joy in tending to the flowers in her yard. She also cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her sister Judy. Patricia and her close friends were proud members of the North Shore Music Theater community.
She was the beloved wife of Bruce W. Parsons, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Michele Burke and her husband Timothy of Wilmington, and the cherished "Nana" to their daughters Kiley, Katherine, and Samantha Burke. She was the dear sister of Judith Smalley of Hampton, NH, and was predeceased by her siblings Richard Withrow and Carol Hakala. Patricia was also a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom will fondly remember her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit.
Her Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday, November 1 at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
