Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of TaosPatricia "Pat" Sue Gibson Randall, 87, resident of Taos, NM, passed away September 26, 2025. Pat was born on August 20, 1938, to Paul & Grace Reay Gibson in Chanute, KS. When Pat was in fifth grade, their family moved to New Mexico. Pat was a graduate of Highland High School (Albuquerque) and the University of New Mexico, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in home economics and was very involved in social clubs including Town Club, AWS Council, Phi Alpha Theta, Pi Lambda Theta, Rally Com, and Spurs. She was also listed in the "Who's Who" of 1960 American Colleges & Universities for her achievements. She was a Rainbow Girl, and sponsored others while an Eastern Star. Pat's career was as varied as her social interests including a KKIT radio DJ personality, saleswoman, teacher, real estate broker, Cub Scout den leader, member and officer of Taos County Republican Party and more. The one constant is that she supported her family and her husband of 44 years, John, in many endeavors including managing the family lumber business, farm, ranch, and real estate holdings. She served as an elder in the Ranchos Presbyterian Church in Ranchos de Taos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Grace Gibson, and her cherished husband, John Alden Randall, brother-in-law, Merlin Randall and sisters- in- law, Minnie Lou Stephens and Dorothy Randall.
She is survived by her two sons, Boyd (Lisa) and Keith (Pam); and grandchildren, Hayden (Sarah), Sarah Grace, and Kara, brother-in-law, Charles Randall, sister-in-law, Ada Randall, numerous nieces and nephews and other family members in Kansas and Oklahoma.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ranchos Presbyterian Church in Ranchos de Taos. Pat requested that memorial contributions be made to one of the following: Ranchos Presbyterian Church, PO Box 879 Ranchos de Taos, NM 87557 or The Couse Foundation, P.O. Box 1436, Taos, NM 87571.
