Patricia Joan Ponder was born on May 25, 1933, in the charming town of Haskell, Oklahoma. On August 30, 2025, she passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, warmth, and unwavering love that will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew her.
Patricia devoted her life to her family. As a loving homemaker, she created a home filled with care, laughter, and compassion. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life; playing bridge, cheering on the OU Sooners, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers, and spending time with her many friends through the Arlington Women’s Club and Encore. An accomplished seamstress and homemaker, she was also an avid reader, a lover of Christmas traditions, and a lifelong fan of George Strait.
Above all, Patricia’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children, Ron Ponder, Lisa K. Ponder, and Janna Ponder; her brother, Larry Hill; her grandchildren, Christie DuFran and Jason Ponder; and her great-grandchildren, Myla DuFran and Merek DuFran. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, R. Clint Ponder, and her parents, Lawrence and Eva Hill.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Wade Chapel. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a graveside ceremony at Moore Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM, where we will gather to reflect, share memories, and celebrate Patricia’s beautiful life.
Patricia will be remembered for her steadfast love of family, her generous heart, and the joy she brought into every room. Though she has left this world, her spirit and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
