Patricia Rowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gramer Funeral Home - Clawson on Dec. 15, 2025.
Patricia "Pat" Alice Rowe, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home on December 13, 2025. Her life was defined by devotion to family, lifelong friendships, and an enduring appreciation for both people and the simple beauty of the world around her.
Pat was born on October 25, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in Highland Park, where she attended Highland Park High School. Over the years, she lived in Detroit and Royal Oak before settling in Madison Heights in the 1990s. No matter the location she built a life rich in family, laughter, and love.
Known for her warm personality and genuine interest in others, Pat had an extraordinary ability to make friends wherever she went-and to keep them for a lifetime. She enjoyed traveling, social gatherings, bowling, and time spent at the casino, always bringing humor and kindness to every experience. A dedicated bowler, she was a proud member of the Night Owls Bowling League, which she joined in 1965 and remained a part of for decades.
Pat began working at a young age and worked in many medical offices as a receptionist and ended her career as an office manager in Huntington Woods. She took pride in her work ethic and professionalism, yet her greatest joy was always her family. A devoted mother, she supported her children with steady love, encouragement, and an open heart.
In quieter moments, Pat found peace in reading-often finishing a book in a single day-and in observing nature. She delighted in watching clouds and imagining their shapes, collecting flowers, rocks, and shells, and especially in the calming presence of water. These gentle pursuits reflected her thoughtful, curious, and caring spirit.
Pat shared a loving marriage with her husband, James Calvin Rowe, who preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. Their life together was marked by companionship, laughter, and deep devotion-a bond she carried with her always.
She is survived by her loving children, Judy (Bill) Connell, Diane Rowe, and Doug Rowe; her five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with one additional great-grandchild eagerly awaited.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Donald Iles; her sister, Barbara Poonpanij; and many dear family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gramer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., Clawson, Michigan 48017.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., also at Gramer Funeral Home in Clawson.
Interment will follow at Oakview Cemetery.
The family kindly asks that memorial donations in Pat's name be made to the Michigan Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society.
Patricia "Pat" Rowe will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle curiosity, and unwavering devotion to family. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and connection will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.

My name is Lindsay Rowe, I was Pat's granddaughter. I love my grandma with all my heart and I will always remember how much she cared for me and how much I meant to her. She has always been one of my best friends and always will be, I remember when we would go to the cemetery to visit my grandpa, we would look for fox's and deer, I will always remember how happy it made her to see him. I know she's with him right now, and I'm so happy they can be together again.
