In the warm embrace of her family, Patricia “Pat” (Ryan) Jette, peacefully passed away at the age of 86 on Tuesday, September 9th.

Pat was the beloved wife of Edmond Jette, Sr. for 63 years. Together they built not just a home, but a legacy of love, laughter, and strength. Their marriage was a true partnership, marked by devotion and an unwavering commitment to family. Surrounded by love, they raised four children who carry forward her kindness and values: Edmond Jette Jr. and his wife Sheila of West Dennis, Sandra Kirwan and her husband Kevin of Holden, Daniel Jette and his wife Kim of Delaware, and Matthew Jette and his wife Amy of Sturbridge. Pat’s heart and spirit also live on through her eleven cherished grandchildren, eight precious great-grandchildren, and her many nieces and nephews who adored their “Aunt Pat.”

Pat was predeceased by her parents, William F. and Jessie (Enman) Ryan, her sisters Nancy Gouveia and Jessica O’Rourke, and her brother William Ryan. She also leaves behind her loving brothers and sisters: Walter Ryan of Naples, FL; John Ryan of Worcester, MA; Mary Ryan and her partner William Bartkowski of Worcester, MA; Kay (Ryan) McCann and her husband Bob of Worcester, MA; and Susan (Ryan) Palmer and her husband Peter of Webster, MA.

The oldest of nine children, Pat learned responsibility, resilience, and selflessness at an early age as she helped care for her siblings. These qualities became the foundation of her life and the gifts she shared with everyone she touched. Over the years, Pat grew into the true matriarch of the Jette family—her guidance, strength, and unconditional love were the roots from which her family flourished. She was the heart of every gathering, the steady hand in times of challenge, and the gentle voice of encouragement that shaped generations.

Pat also had a natural gift for beauty—her passion for interior design and decorating made each home she created both stylish and deeply inviting. With her impeccable taste, elegance, and flair for fashion, she carried herself with grace in every stage of life. She had a gift for turning the ordinary into something extraordinary, whether in her home, her wardrobe, or the small, thoughtful touches she added to family celebrations.

More than anything, Pat will be remembered for her radiant smile—one that lit up every room she entered and became the hallmark of countless family celebrations, vacations, and adventures. She taught those around her that joy is found in the simple act of being together, and her legacy is stitched into the fabric of every memory her family now treasures.

Pat’s departure leaves a deep void, yet her spirit of love, generosity, and laughter endures in all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we say goodbye, we celebrate a remarkable woman whose life was an extraordinary gift—a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and matriarch whose love will guide her family for generations to come.

Calling hours will be held for Pat on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9:00am to 10:30am at Mercadante Funeral Home, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Pat will be laid to rest immediately after Mass at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
