Patricia Schaefer Obituary
Patricia Rae Schaefer, 87, of Utopia, Texas passed away on July 31, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on July 6, 1938, in Leakey, Texas to Inez Christine (Horton) and Vernon Leon Clower.
She married William “Bill” Schaefer on January 10, 1955, in Acuna, Mexico.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Schaefer of Utopia; four daughters, Vicki Karing and husband, David of Knippa, Tricia Van Pelt of Sabinal, Laura Richarz and husband, Robert of Utopia and Judy Gutierrez and husband, Dave of Sabinal; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Ray Schaefer; sister, Sally Brezenski; and brother, James D. Clower.
A graveside service will be held on August 5, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Sabinal Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Justin Schaefer, Stephen Schaefer, Josh Schaefer, Cory Van Pelt, Jaimie Van Pelt, Josef Richarz, and John Michael Bird.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leelynn McFarlen, Zac McFarlen, Dylan Ramirez, Trey McFarlen, Collin West, Micheal Smart, Caleb Van Pelt, Isaiah Van Pelt, Arell Todd, Holt Dunleavy, Dash Dunleavy, Ryan Gutierrez, Stephen Gutierrez and Lincoln O'keefe.
