Rogelio L. Rodriguez, Sr., 88, of Sabinal passed away on September 3, 2025, at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 5 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sabinal Cemetery.
He was born on July 9, 1937, in Sabinal, Texas to Antonia (Lopez) and Eduardo Rodriguez Sr.
He married Consuelo Gonzales on November 27, 1967, in Sabinal, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Consuelo G. Rodriguez, of Sabinal; two daughters, Debbie Rodriguez and Kathy R. Alarcon and husband, Felix all of Hondo; son, Rogelio Rodriguez Jr., and wife, Debbie of Uvalde; sister, Yolanda Estella Davis and husband, Fred of Sabinal; two sisters in law, Diana Rodriguez of San Antonio and Soila Rodriguez of Sabinal; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Eduardo Rodriguez, Jr and Joe Reynol Rodriguez Sr.
Pallbearers will be Alexander Alarcon, Derrick Alarcon, Christopher Gonzales, Dylan Rodriguez, Joe Reynol Rodriguez Jr, and Darrius Lewis
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rudy Ybarra and Juan Alejandro
