Patricia D. Seremet, 81, of Newington, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Born in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Stanley J. Seremet Jr. and Marion Schwager. A lifelong resident of Newington, "Patsy" worked at Sears & Roebuck and later at Tiny Tot Nursery School, a family business where she enjoyed working alongside her mother and sisters. She had a nurturing way about her, and the children loved her.
Later in life, Patsy changed career paths and joined The Home Depot. She enjoyed interacting with customers and being part of a team. When she wasn't directing phone calls, you could find her in the aisles helping customers or chatting with them about their projects. She was a homebody who enjoyed gardening, curling up with a good book, or, more recently, solving word search puzzles.
Pat lived for a short time in "the center" of Newington, where she spent her days sitting outside chatting with friends and, at night, loved looking out her windows at all the lights.
Patricia was one of six girls. She is survived by four sisters: Barbara Trommer and her husband Robert of Newington; Sharon, Marylou, and Jacqueline, all of Newington. Numerous nieces, nephews, and their families will miss Aunt Patsy dearly. She was predeceased by her sister Shirley Trommer and her nephew Robert Trommer Jr.
An animal lover at heart, Patsy is now reunited with her birds and her beloved dog, Taffy.
A private family graveside ceremony will take place at West Meadow Cemetery, 679 Willard Ave. To share a memory with her family, please visit www.duksa.net.
