Patricia "Pat" Ann Stevenson, 93, of Vulcan, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at SSM Mercy South in St. Louis, MO. She was born in Cuba, MO, February 5, 1932, to James and Hazel (Ruble) Patterson.
A woman of deep love and quiet strength, Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married the love of her life, Guy Stevenson on April 29, 1950. Together, they built a life centered on love, hard work, and faith. They were blessed with two daughters, and their hearts and home extended even further as they lovingly raised seven of Guy's siblings. Pat's legacy of selflessness and compassion was evident in every life she touched.
Pat was a member of the Vulcan Assembly of God Church, where her Christian faith was a guiding light throughout her life. Alongside Guy, she shared a spirit of entrepreneurship, owning and selling various businesses and properties over the years. She concluded her working life at Brown Shoe Company, where she formed lasting friendships and took pride in her work.
One of Pat's greatest joys was traveling with Guy during his musical career, especially their trips to Tennessee and Kentucky. Her favorite destination was the Bill Monroe Museum in Rosine, KY, reflecting her lifelong love for music-particularly gospel and bluegrass. These passions were shared with her family, creating lasting memories filled with song, laughter, and love.
Above all, Pat's heart belonged to her family. Her pride in them was boundless, and each child, grandchild, great-grandchild, and great-great-grandchild held a unique place in her heart.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of sixty-eight blessed years; daughters: Ellen (as an infant) and Beverly Stevenson; brothers: Jimmy and Robert Patterson; sister: Charlotte Middleton.
Pat is survived by her cherished grandchildren: Dale Allen and fiancé Kris Lorentz of Greenville, MO, Brande and husband Butch Russell of Lesterville, MO; great-grandchildren: Lane and wife Brianna Allen of Piedmont, MO, Lance Allen of Poplar Bluff, MO, Devin Russell and fiancé Amber Clinton of Ellington, MO, Damen Russell and fiancé Katie Gant of Farmington, MO; great-great-grandchildren: Nolan and Navy Allen, and Hudsen Russell; three beautiful bonus great-great grandbabies: Levi, Timond and Elsie Clinton; brother: Gary Patterson and wife Maxine of Vulcan; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will remember her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love.
Pat's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved. She will be deeply missed yet forever remembered for the life she lived with grace, devotion, and a steadfast faith.
Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Vulcan Assembly of God Church, Vulcan, MO. Funeral service was held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, also at Vulcan Church.
