Graveside service for Patricia Ann Swanson, 90, of Aurora, formerly of Ashland, will be 11am Wednesday, October 1, 2025 in Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
Patricia died September 26, 2025 at her home under the care of her granddaughter, Elecia and hospice.
She was born June 11, 1935 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Albert and Ella (Deeth) Cuffle. Patricia was a graduate of Ashland High School. She worked as a bartender at The Spot Bar and Neery’s Bar in Ashland for many years.
Throughout the years was married to Thomas Christianson, with whom she had a son, Carl Anderson, with whom she had a daughter and Orville Swanson. All of her husbands pre-deceased her. She enjoyed being a homemaker; cooking, cleaning her home and raising her granddaughter, Elecia. Patricia especially enjoyed boating on Lake Superior on the 4th of July and her honeymoon in Hawaii with Orville.
Dementia began to be evident in her life nearly 12 years ago. Eventually she was unable to reside at home in Ashland and came to live near her granddaughter. Later, they shared a home together. Many memories were made with her granddaughter throughout the years.
Survivors include her children: Tom (Barb) Christianson of Ashland and Tammy (Matt) Campanella of Superior; granddaughter and care giver, Elecia (Dale Lehtinen) Larson of Aurora; great granddaughters: Cassandra, Olivia and Cailey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ella and her husbands: Thomas, Carl and Orville.
