Patricia Ann Vaca
Of Charlotte, NC
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother and "Mama", Patricia Ann Vaca, who left us on January 17, 2025 after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. A pillar of strength and a beacon of love, her absence will leave a void in our hearts forever. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength to all whose lives she touched.
To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, we invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 30th at St. Matthew Catholic Church Chapel with Father John Allen Celebrant. She will be inurned next to her beloved husband, Manuel Salazar Vaca in the church columbarium.
Patricia was born on August 28, 1939, in Nashville, TN, to the late Joel Bragg Gannon and Ladye Love (Snow) Gannon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Vaca; grandson, Maxwell Salazar Vaca and all her siblings, Geraldine Gannon, Buford Earl Gannon, Waymon D. Gannon, Margaret Lucille Sebree Albin, Kathleen Cole and Bobby Oliver Gannon.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Victor Vaca and Randy Vaca (Molly); grandchildren, Alexander Vaca, Abigail McErlean (Connor), Emily, Sophia, Marco, Noah and Vincent Vaca.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monsignor McSweeny World Hunger Drive. https://stmatthewcatholic.org/worldhungerdrive
Mrs. Vaca will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
