Rebecca Mazzie Middleton, 61 of Charlotte, NC lost her battle with her mental health on September 2 nd , 2025.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Rebecca spent most of her childhood growing up in Columbus, OH.

She was the eldest daughter of Robert and Martha Mazzie and a proud sister to her three younger siblings Debbie, Sharon, and Rachel. Growing up she spent her happiest days horseback riding and at the library reading about adventures she hoped one day to take.

Ever a student of life, Rebecca constantly desired to learn and grow more. She spent her years of higher education studying Nursing. Her passion for people along Whether out at her favorite restaurant or exploring some place new, she thrived on exploring all life had to offer. She will be remembered for her incredible sense of style and her love of history. Mostly she will be remembered for her love and friendship which she gave freely to those in her life. Her cooking, creativity, and comfort will never be forgotten.

Rebecca's beauty, kindness, and intelligence were undeniable to those who knew her. Her proudest achievement was creating and raising her four children, Stephanie, Wesley, Natalie, and Em Chapman. She devoted her time to their education through homeschooling them in childhood and championed their passions as they made their way to adulthood. In her second marriage to Bryant Middleton, she was honored to add Keana, Julius and Kendall Middleton to her family.

She was a loving wife and devoted mother who has left us too soon.

We know she is with God now and finally at peace. Rebecca faced many challenges in life but always trusted the Lord to be with her. Her faith was as important to her as her family. She will live on in the lives of her husband, Bryant Middleton, and children, Stephanie, Wesley, Natalie, Keana, Em, Julius and Kendall. Services will be held privately with family. Please reach out to Stephanie Chapman for flowers, donations, etc.
