Mrs. Patricia Anne Washington, 68 of Florence, South Carolina passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, surrounded by loved ones and friends.
Patricia, better known as “Pat,” was born on December 11, 1954, in Florence, South Carolina to Margaret C. Brown and Leonard “Baby Ray” Stevenson, Sr. Pat attended Trenton Central High School in Trenton, New Jersey, where she graduated in 1973. After graduating high school, Pat Lived and worked for several years in New Jersey before relocating back to Florence, South Carolina.
In 1995, Pat met and married William Washington, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter and friend. She was the type of person who lived life on her own terms, but at the same time she knew how to be supportive and compassionate. Pat would give you the shirt off her back. She loved to cook and had no problem feeding the neighborhood on any given Sunday. Pat extended her passion for cooking as she displayed her culinary attributes as an employer of Venus Pancake House.
Pat is predeceased by her father, Leonard “Baby Ray” Stevenson, Sr.; a sister, JoAnne Wilson; and a brother, Elroy “Jamie” Eaddy.
Patricia is survived by two children: a daughter, Temekia Crawford and a son, Keneric (Ida) Crawford of the home; four grandchildren, Unique Crawford, Kyiah Crawford, Akiiana Planter and Kenny Crawford all of Florence, South Carolina; one great grandchild, Aurelle Baker; her mother, Margaret Crawford (John) Brown of Florence, South Carolina; two sisters, Pamela Rowls and Valerie (Jerome) Henicks both of Florence, South Carolina; four brothers, Jon Brown of Florence, South Carolina, Danny (Tina) Eaddy of Trenton, New Jersey; Leonard “Lenny” Stevenson, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina and Michael (Sharon) Eaddy of Mount Vernon, New York; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 401 Charles Street, Florence.
