Obituary for Patricia Anne Williams, aka. Ms. RNB

Sunrise: September 25, 1943 Sunset: August 8, 2025

Patricia Anne Williams, 81, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on August 8, 2025. She was born on September 25, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Maude Estelle Miller and Elijah Burris.

Patricia was preceded in death by both her parents, her son, Craig L. Williams, her sisters, Darlene Lomack, Gladys Burris, and Deborah Miller-Green, as well as her brothers, George Miller Jr., Milton Burris, Claude Burris, and Kenny Burris. She is also survived by her brother, Danny (Angela) Miller; sisters, Tabiatha Miller and Dr. Christine Li’Chele’ Moore, Ph.D.

She leaves behind her children, Harry (Nicole) Williams, Rod (Bridget) Williams, and Tonesia (Rufus) Redding, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Patricia always had dreams of being a singer and found the love for karaoke that went beyond just a hobby; it was a sanctuary where her spirit could soar and a stage where her courage truly came alive. Under the warm glow of stage lights, karaoke became a place where she could become the singer she really wanted to be. She sang not just to entertain but to embody each song, pouring her voice into lyrics as others might pour their hearts into unsent letters. Every note was an act of self-empowerment and the escape to the world she always desired.

Her creativity extended beyond music. Patricia was an author whose published work demonstrated her fearless mind— “To the Dark End of the Road”, and “You can Run but You can’t Hide” are a few books she authored and published. She was in the process of working on a 3rd before she departed. Whether in the written word or a song’s final refrain, she left pieces of herself that will resonate long after her lifetime.

A private family gathering will take place at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME Chapel of Peace, 2500 Cleveland Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43211, on September 06, 2025, at 2:00 pm in her honor. Loved ones will remember not only the woman she was but also the way she chose to live—with independence, artistry, and a spirited nature that refused to be diminished.
