She graduated from Mankato High School in 1959. In 1960, Pat met her future husband, Bob Witty on the dance floor at the Kato Ballroom and they later married on September 8, 1962. This union was blessed with 2 sons, Scott C. Witty and Christopher J. Witty. She was recognized for all her volunteer work by the Fairmont Exchange Club when they named her the recipient of "The Book of Golden Deeds Award" for 2000.
