A piece of my heart broke when I heard of Nick and Pat´s passing. My late husband Bill and I were in their wedding and they were in ours.
Over the years we shared many vacations when our children were small.
We had great times together and I have wonderful memories. Life will never be the same without them.

Sending our deepest condolences to the family. A wonderful couple with such devotion and love for each other. Nick was always willing to offer advice to novice birders at Churchville Nature Center. It was such an honor to go birding with Nick. He always seemed to be at peace when he was outdoors listening and observing wild birds. We know they´re both at peace now. Mary & Geoff Penney

I´m privileged to have known Nick during my volunteer days at Churchville Nature Center then as a novice birder. He taught me a lot through his actions especially how to be calm when things aren´t going well. RIP Nick.

I had the pleasure of knowing Pat and Nick through my sister Marylou MacMillan and her husband Jim. I had enjoyed some great times with them years ago in the "Philly Days". Throughout the years since, I have enjoyed seeing Pat occasionally when I was with Marylou and I witnessed their beautiful friendship.
Pat and Nick were such warm and wonderful people.
My sincere condolences go to their family, their friends and especially to their children and grandchildren, whom they treasured.

We knew Pat and Nick through Tim's identical twin brother Jim and his wife Marylou. They were best friends and my late husband Tim, and I shared many good times with the four of them. I am heartbroken they are gone, but I will cherish the times we shared. Rest in peace Pat and Nick -~you will be in my heart forever.

Pat and Nick, it is so sad and so impossible to believe that you are gone. Pat, you have been my best friend for the last 54 years; we had so much fun together for all those years, you guys are the best and we loved hanging out with you, both of you were special in so many ways, we really loved you and miss you. We spent a lot of time in the back driveway when we both lived in Philly, we had barbeques in our back yards, we had lots of friends there and had such fun times, our kids were little then, it still seems like yesterday sometimes!
Jim and I and you guys moved to Bucks County many years ago and we still had many great times, we still had barbeques, the kids were growing up so fast and we didn't see you as often, but you were still our best friends. We had several get togethers' with Jim's twin brother, Tim and his wife, Marian - we all got along so well and had so much fun. I wish it could have gone on forever; Tim is gone now too - maybe you'll run into him in heaven! Wish I could give you each a big hug!
Nick's hobby was bird watching; he used to look up to see them; now he looks down to see them! I hope the angels" wings don't block his view! I am sure the guys at Churchville Park will miss him; he loved hanging out there. I'll miss Pat; she had a silly way about her that would always make us laugh.
Rest in peace, Pat and Nick, never having any more pain and knowing you were loved by so many people; especially us! Thank you both for being such good friends, no one could replace you, we will love and miss you forever.

I knew Nick for years through birding and the Churchville Nature Center. When I volunteered to put popular birding trips on paper for Bucks County Birders to consult, I asked Nick to help me get one particularly involved trip together. He agreed and came back with an entire set of notes, handouts of specific places, directions, and tips. That was Nick: ask him for help and he would bend over backwards to do all he could. A nicer, sweeter, kinder man would be hard to find. He will be missed.

Knew Nick from Nature Center walks. He was a good companionable birder, and whose chocolate treats will I filch (I mean share) now? Very sorry to see these folks go.
