Patrick Wade Bosheers
August 6, 1957 - January 5, 2025
Patrick Wade Bosheers was born in Fort Carson, Colorado, and raised in Loretto, Tennessee, from his early childhood until his teenage years. His upbringing on a family farm inspired his lifelong love for animals, agriculture, and nature.
In 1984, shortly after graduating from the University of Tennessee, he began a 40-year career as a civilian with the United States Army Tank Automotive Command. His service to his country took him to Europe, Asia, Africa, and across North America; he retired in September 2024.
In 1987, he married Kathleen Schulte, and they raised their son and daughter, Grady and Jodie, in Washington Township, Michigan. He was a devoted father and husband and is survived by his wife, children, nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, extended family in Tennessee, and cherished friends. His father and mother, Franklin and Jo Ann, and brother, Kenneth, preceded him in death.
A generous, humble man with a clever wit and a jovial heart, Patrick's life was devoted to his family - their comfort, happiness, aspirations, and well-being. Patrick is at peace with God and will be missed dearly by those fond of his loving spirit.
Patrick's life benefited from the generosity of organ donors and supporters of the American Red Cross. His family asks that you consider being an organ donor through Donate Life America or donating blood or platelets through a local blood bank.
Patrick was known for helping others. In tribute, and if possible, donations to The Brooklyn Community Pride Center and Rebel Dogs Detroit, organizations meaningful to Grady and Jodie, would be appreciated to support their impactful work: https://rebeldogsdetroit.com/donate https://www.lgbtbrooklyn.org/
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00pm-6:30pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons (Shelby), 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Please share memories with the family at their online guestbook at @ WujekCalcaterra.com
