Obituary for Jose Antonio Torres

June 8, 1950 – October 7, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jose "Tony" Antonio Torres, who left this world peacefully on October 7, 2025, at the age of 75.

A devoted husband, loving father, cherished Papa, and proud great-Papa, Jose's life was a testament to the power of family, love, and dedication. For 40 wonderful years, he was the beloved husband of Irene, with whom he built a strong and joyful life filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

He was the proud father of Jose "Tony" (Minnie), Alejandro, Elizabeth (Patrick) Hannawi, and Alexandra (Heather) Torres. Known affectionately as "Papa," Jose was the heart of a growing family, lovingly guiding and supporting his grandchildren: Marissa (Brandon) Brewer, Selina (Austin) Cheek, Jose "Tony," Mia, Tristan, Mikalah, Ava, Anthony, Brayden, Brady, and Oakley, and his great-grandchildren, Olive and Sophia.

Jose lived his life with purpose and a deep sense of responsibility. He was a provider in every sense of the word, working hard and sacrificing without hesitation so that his family could thrive. Every decision he made, every step he took, was grounded in his unwavering commitment to those he loved.

He will be remembered for his gentle strength, his big heart, and the countless ways he showed up - day in and day out - as a husband, dad, Papa, and friend. His presence was steady, his advice wise, and his love always felt.

His legacy lives on in the family he adored, and in the values he instilled in all who knew him. Though he is no longer physically with us, his love, spirit, and example remain forever in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile, Sterling Heights, MI.

A Graveside Funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, MI.
