Patrick Marcus "Pat" Coyle, 81, a longtime resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Friday evening, May 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 27, 1942, a son of the late Simeon & Margaret Coyle. Pat graduated from Central High School and went on to UTK where he met the love of his life, Barbara Henry Coyle, whom he married and became the loving father of two children. He spent many years working as an Electrical Engineer, first at Combustion in Chattanooga and later retired from M & M Mars in Cleveland. Pat and his wife of 58 years enjoyed traveling abroad to Israel, Greece, and the Caribbean Islands. They also enjoyed trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and other fascinating places in the USA. He most of all loved spending time with family and friends and assisting his loving wife hosting events in her beautiful home.
In addition to his loving parents, he is also preceded in death by the love of his life Barbara.
Pat leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter and son-in-law Kerry & Frank Pohlner, one son and daughter-in-law Mark & Cindy Coyle of Birmingham, AL, one grandson Henry Coyle, one granddaughter Anna Cate Coyle, one brother and sister-in-law Mike & Martha Coyle, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ray & Karen Henry, numerous other extended family members, work family and church family and a host of special friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Cleveland Chapel located at 1275 Stuart Road in Cleveland, TN. A service celebrating his life will follow the visitation time on Saturday, June 15, 2024, 1:00 PM with the Reverend Allen Lockerman, Steve Morgan and Wayne Richardson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial donations be made in his memory the First Baptist Church's Building Fund.
