Patrick Tyrone Crayton

"If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way."

On May 28, 1965, in Houston, Texas, God gifted Lillie and Harry with a precious baby boy. Patrick Tyrone was the chosen name.

At an early age, Patrick expressed a desire to become a Christian and was united with Greater St. Matthew Church under the pastorage of Reverand Dr. Gusta Booker II. His membership continued despite multiple health issues; he continuously expressed belief and trust in God.

Patrick received a formal education from the Houston Independent School District. He was employed at Texas Children's and Methodist Hospitals. He received a training certificate in Environmental Asbestos Services.

He was a man who knew how to live with flair. He didn't need titles or degrees to make an impact-he did it with every crisp outfit, every pair of fresh Nike tennis shoes, and every Whataburger order shared with a smile.

His weekly barbershop visits weren't just about grooming-they were rituals of connection, laughter, and community. He loved the smooth sounds of Stevie Wonder and the electrifying energy of Michael Jackson, often dancing like no one was watching (but everyone was smiling).

He taught us that joy lives in the little things: a good song, a fresh haircut, a spicy ketchup packet, and showing up for the people you love.

Patrick is preceded in death by his father, Harry Lamar, and brothers, Willard Lloyd and Harrell Sean Crayton.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories and devoted mother; Lillie, sister; Harriet Ramona, nephew; Tristan (Keisha), nieces; Asia and Alexis, great-nephews; Greyson and Ethan Williams; "Do or Die" cousins; Sue McClendon and Gary Pope, aunt; Hurdish Anderson, uncles; Sammie Parker and Darvin Parker Sr. and a host of cousins, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
