Patrick Regan Davis

Patrick Regan Davis, 41, passed away unexpectedly at home in Chicago's North Center neighborhood on May 12, 2024. Born in Nashville, Regan spent much of his youth in Florida. He graduated from Canterbury School of Florida in St. Petersburg and then Florida State University in Tallahassee with a degree in theater, minoring in religion. Regan worked for years in Chicago's theater scene, doing improv and puppetry and also filling a variety of other roles onstage and off. In order to support this habit, he found work in the tech industry, most recently serving as Vice President of Product for SpotHero. Always happy to share knowledge, he led workshops on product strategy for startup founders at tech incubator 1871 as an expert-in-residence. Regan loved games, puzzles, cyphers, and Dungeons and
Dragons. He loved to watch others figure things out - and was the first to volunteer to help when someone had a problem. He was also very kind and gentle. Ever generous with his time and his many talents, he made room for everyone. He was the best of all of us. Beloved husband of 17 years (together for 24) of Elizabeth "Beth" Mary Cummings and devoted father of Patrick Frankie Davis. Cherished son of Patrick Michael (Linda) Davis and Emily Ethel (Timothy Grimes) Morgan (nee Hager). Loving brother of Nicole (John) Kelly, Caree (Michael) Sullivan, and Tara and Kimberly Porter. Grandson of Barbara and the late Floyd Hager, step-grandson of the late
Marty and Harold Potter. Beloved uncle, cousin, and friend of many. A celebration of life is being held Saturday, June 1, 11-2pm (service begins 12noon) at Hubbard Street Lofts, 1821 W.
