Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 – 11:00 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 610 Rain Tree Trail, Lafayette, LA 70507.
Patrick Derousselle, Jr. was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to the late Patrick Derousselle, Sr., and Vida Broussard Derousselle on December 14, 1952. Patrick peacefully transitioned from this life on Saturday, April 29, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Patrick, fondly referred to as "Pat" or "Boloom," moved to Houston, TX, at the age of 18. Upon retiring, Patrick returned to his hometown in Breaux Bridge, LA, and worked briefly for St. Martin Parish Government.
Patrick was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He raised his son to be resilient, hard-working, and independent. Patrick loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and on game day, you could always find him cheering for his favorite team.
Patrick's love will be carried on by his son Patrick Derousselle, lll; his brothers, Robert Derousselle and Harold Derousselle (Catherine); his sisters, Dorothy Derousselle Babineaux, Mary Derousselle, Neollie Derousselle, Rena Derousselle Hebert (Danny), Irene Derousselle Winters (Michael Winters); his only surviving maternal aunt, Lovenia Singleton whom he loved and adored; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patrick was proceeded in death by his parents, Patrick Derousselle, Sr. and Vida Broussard Derousselle; maternal grandparents, Eddie and Neollie Jolivette Broussard; paternal grandparents, Noah and Teresa Galantine Derousselle; brother, Nelson Derousselle; sister, Alice Derousselle Lewis; brother-in-law, Eazly Babineaux, Sr.; sister-in-law, Gloria Derousselle; and great nephew, Elliot Babineaux, Jr.
