Patrick DiVita Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ponte Vedra Valley Funeral Home - Ponte Vedra Beach on Feb. 16, 2026.
Patrick William DiVita

November 15, 1979 – February 11, 2026

Patrick William DiVita, 46, of Neptune Beach, Florida, passed away on February 11, 2026. Born on November 15, 1979, in Jacksonville, Florida, Patrick was a proud native of the community he called home throughout his life.

Patrick dedicated more than 20 years of service to the federal government with the United States Department of Justice. Throughout his distinguished career in criminal justice, he served with integrity, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to protecting and upholding the law. His dedication to the field was rooted in both passion and education - he earned a master's degree in criminal justice administration from Michigan State University, reflecting his commitment to leadership, accountability, and public service.

He believed deeply in fairness and service to others, carrying those principles not only in his profession but in the way he lived his life every day.

Beyond his career, Patrick was a man of quiet strength, loyalty, and deep compassion. He showed his love through action - by being present, dependable, and steadfast for his family and friends. He had a calm, steady nature that brought comfort to others and a heart that gave without hesitation.

Patrick had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and life's simple pleasures. He loved golfing, photography, fishing, and hunting - passions that brought him peace, focus, and time spent doing what he enjoyed most.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Morgan Riley DiVita; his mother, Sharon Kay DiVita; and his sister, Jennifer Dawn DiVita. The love he carried for each of them remained a constant in his life.

Patrick is survived by his father, Thomas Lee DiVita, and his stepmother, Wanda Barton DiVita; his twin brother, Thomas Lee DiVita II (Meredith); his sister, Crista Marie Bridges (Buddy) his nephew, Thomas; his nieces, Taylor, Ainsley, Madison; and his former spouse, Brandy DiVita, Morgan's mother; along with his loving family, colleagues, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory and carry his spirit with them.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 20, 2026, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 523 Pablo Ave, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

Though his life was cut far too short, the impact he made - in service to his country, in devotion to his family, and in the quiet strength with which he lived - will endure through the memories he created and the love he shared.

He now rests reunited with his precious daughter Morgan, his mother Sharon, and sister Jennifer.
