Patrick Jay (PJ) Donohue, 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Bunnell, FL after a short battle with ALS. PJ was surrounded by his loving of 23 years, Tamara, and his dearest friends Mark and Kim Heirendt and his puppy girl Savana.
PJ was born on August 24, 1961 to James and Eunice Donohue. PJ grew up in Paris, PA and graduated from Burgettstown High School. After graduation, PJ moved on to a career as a truck driver for 35 years, being and owner/operator for the last 20 years. PJ was always full of energy and always smiling and laughing. He enjoyed, fishing, camping, Budweiser, but cooking for family and friends was his greatest joy. Since moving to FL, PJ enjoyed riding his Harley's and restoring his beloved 1972 Buick Riviera, which he had since he was 19 years old.
PJ was preceded in death by his parents James and Eunice Donohue.
He is survived by his wife Tamara, whom he married on September 23, 2000. PJ is also survived by his step children Jenna(Paul) Starvaggi of Weirton, WV, Eric(Sarah) Mackey also of Weirton, WV. Grandson Tyler Starvaggi, Mother-in- Law Barbara Hixenbaugh, brother James(Pam) Donohue, nephew James(Jan Lynn) Donohue, and niece Deanna(Joe) Sentipal.
PJ and Tami would like to thank family and friends for all their love and support during his illness. Special thanks go out to their dearest friends Mark and Kim Heirendt and Jimmy Mac and Cindy McCracken. Tami would like to thank Halifax Hospice for their care and support for PJ
PJ will be cremated per his wishes, he requested any donations in his memory please be made to the ALS Association in hopes of finding a cure for this disease.
