Patrick Ryan Dwire, 44, of Oakwood Hills, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. He was born in Woodstock on October 6, 1980 to Jim and Sandee (Schweizer) Dwire.

A 1999 graduate of Cary-Grove High School, Patrick went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College. He married Kristen Brummitt on June 19, 2005.

He was happiest spending time with his kids, Aiyla and Camden. Whether it was taking them golfing, riding four-wheelers, shopping, or even doing yard work, he just loved being with them. He also enjoyed playing poker, burning leaves in the fall, and tackling whatever project was next on his list.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Kristen; their children, Aiyla and Camden; his parents, Jim and Sandee; his brother, Shawn Dwire; his father and mother-in-law, Buck and Laurie Brummitt; his sisters-in-law, Kari Brummitt and Lisa Weil; his brother-in-law, Gerry Reinhardt; and lots of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gavin (January 27, 2004 - December 21, 2004) and his brother, Jason Dwire.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 12, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Windridge Memorial Park.

Patrick’s love for his family and his steady presence will be missed more than words can say.
