Patrick Joseph Figueras

In loving memory of Patrick Joseph Figueras, 68, of Plum Borough, passed away on Monday, December 9th, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Patrick spent most of his adult life helping others in need through his contributions both in his communities and abroad, his impactful and profound mentorship to many children, including over 26 foster children that he raised, and providing employment through his entrepreneurial endeavors. His retirement afforded him much joy, as he got to watch his children and grandchildren grow. His hobbies included fitness and boxing, this was evident through his golden glove boxer status in the state of New York. His humanitarian efforts as an individual were boundless, as he founded the organization Foundation CAPE to assist those affected by Hurricane Hugo in 1989, his efforts were recognized by the state of Rhode Island, proclaiming that on the 9th day of October, 1989 P. Joseph Figueras day was a state holiday. His efforts even warranted a letter of recognition from then president Bill Clinton. He was a member of the Rhode Island Indian Council, and helped ensure that Native American children were placed in Native American homes to preserve their culture. He dedicated his final working years to Youth and Family Alternatives Inc., out of Pasco County Florida. Beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and in-law.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Incarnation and Maria; wife, Ingrid; son, Joshua; and grandson, Julian.
Patrick is survived by his children, Bryan St. Germain-Figueras, Melissa Figueras (Chris Billings), Shayna Figueras, Stephanie Figueras (Ramon Mozley), and grandchildren, Julianna Figueras-Billings, Erin St. Germain Figueras, Kaleb Figueras-Billings, Alianna Figueras-Mozley, Ava St. Germain-Figueras, Mariah Figueras, Emily Figueras, Mia St. Germain-Figueras, Grayson Figueras, Elijah Figueras-Mozley, Gianni Figueras-Mozley. Family and friends will be received Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747).
