Patrick William Gordon

Patrick William Gordon, age 59, passed away peacefully October 12, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on November 27, 1965, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Herbert and Annabelle (Charles) Gordon.
A man whose hands could fix anything, left behind a legacy built not just from wrenches and engines, but from the love and wisdom he shared with his sons. He developed a passion for automobiles at an early age. He could diagnose a stubborn engine by the sound it made and taught himself every aspect of car repairs. The greatest fulfillment came not from his expertise with cars, but time spent with his sons, Josh, Matthew, Michall, and Nicholas, passing on his knowledge and life lessons. The garage was his sanctuary and classroom. He cherished the moments with sons, whether they were restoring a car or simply changing a flat tire. For Pat, these weren't just mechanical tasks, they were opportunities to connect, share stories, and build a bond that will never rust. His endless patience, guidance, and hearty laugh filled the garage, and his example instilled in his children the value of hard work, grit, and satisfaction of a job well done.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Payment Gordon, who helped create a loving family of 4 wonderful boys; Josh Payment, Matthew Gordon, Michall Gordon, and Nicholas Gordon; one grandchild, Kayne; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annabelle and Herb; beloved brother, Michael Gordon; and nephew, Herbie Gordon.
Visitation will be held on November 1, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Family Life Funeral Homes, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI. The Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter, 3660 S Mackinac Trail, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
