Patrick "Pat" James Kilraine, affectionately known as "Popz" to his beloved grandchildren and many of his son Jake's friends, passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on December 8, 1953, in Middletown, Pennsylvania, Pat was the son of the late George and Anne (Elonis) Kilraine. Pat lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his deep love for family, friends, and good times. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he found great joy in cheering on Notre Dame football. He was also a talented athlete himself, enjoying many years playing softball, golfing, hunting, and having been a Golden Glove boxer. In his earlier years, he earned the nickname "Killer Kilraine" from his WRHS Coach Ernest Davis, after witnessing Pats aggressive skills in the boxing ring. One of Pat's favorite ways to unwind was fishing-something he cherished as both a sport and a peaceful escape. Pat loved the outdoors and wildlife, he often caught and nursed back to health animals, including racoons, owls, and snakes- just to name a few. Music held a special place in Pat's heart, particularly the soulful sound of Little Feat Band. Whether he was listening to a favorite album, casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, or swapping stories with friends, Pat brought warmth, humor, and authenticity to every moment. He had a rare gift for making people feel welcome-never meeting a stranger, and always being a friend to everyone. His infectious smile, quick wit, and big-hearted nature made him unforgettable to all who knew him. Along with his parents, Pat is preceded in death by his infant brother, John Kilraine. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jake Kilraine (Caitlin) of
Warner Robins, GA; his four grandchildren, Jacob, Giana, Levi, and Landon; Brooke Conner of Hawkinsville, GA; his siblings, Marcy Moffett (Jim), Joseph Kilraine, George Kilraine (Becky), Tim Kilraine (Terri), and Jackie Price (Tim); and his former spouse and the mother of his beloved son, Kerry Girdner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who became like family.
