Patrick J. McCaffrey Sr, 64, was a cherished soul whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. He passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey. Born on February 7, 1962, in
Queens, New York, to Vincent and Marion (McGlone) McCaffrey, Pat's journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a joyful spirit that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Pat's early years were spent in Queens. His life took a beautiful turn when he met Joan Graham, the love of his life. Their hearts intertwined, and they were united in marriage on May 30, 1982. Embracing new beginnings, Pat moved to Middletown, New Jersey, and later settled in Lincroft, where he and Joan built a life filled with family, love and laughter.
A devoted family man, Pat was predeceased by his beloved parents, Vincent and Marion, his son, Michael Graham, and his daughter, Tina McCaffrey. His legacy of love lives on through his beloved wife, Joan (Graham) McCaffrey; his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Patrick J. McCaffrey Jr. and Amanda; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael John, Madeline, Ryan, Gwendolyn, and Charlotte, who will continue to honor and uphold the values and traditions Pat held dear.
Pat's professional life was characterized by his unwavering commitment to safety and excellence. He spent many years working as an elevator mechanic in IUEC Local 1 before becoming a consultant. This December he retired after twenty-five years of dedicated service with the State of New Jersey, most recently as an Elevator Safety Division Supervising Construction Official. His colleagues admired him for his integrity and his steadfast dedication to ensuring the well-being of others.
Beyond his professional achievements, Pat's passions were deeply rooted in the simple pleasures of life. He took pride in tending to his yard, caring for his lawn, and finding solace in the tranquility of his pool. A Yankees fan, Pat's enthusiasm for the game was infectious.
Above all, Pat's greatest joy was found in the company of his family, particularly his grandchildren, with whom he shared countless precious moments. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and the memories created during family gatherings, holidays, and everyday moments will be treasured forever.
Described by those who knew him as loving, kind, and friendly, Pat's presence radiated positivity and warmth. His smile, his laughter, and his generous spirit will be deeply missed, yet his influence will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
