Patrick H. McInerney

Patrick Henry McInerney, a resident of Harrison Township, Michigan passed away early Thursday, January 16. 2025.
He was born April 23, 1952, in Mount Clemens, Michigan to the late Norman Henry and Mary Long McInerney.
On October 23, 1984, in Clinton Township, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Rosalia LoCricchio known by all as Lia. Together they celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary.
Patrick McInerney spent his employment as a job developer in the mental health industry, changing the life of many individuals. Even after many years, individuals would see him in the community and thank him for steering their life in such a positive direction. Throughout his years of collective work his life's passions were lived through auto racing, rock and roll, photography, and caring for his wonderfully growing family. Patrick spent many years racing at the Mt. Clemens racetrack and at Milan Dragway. After being behind the wheel for so long he found continued passion announcing races at Milan Dragway. He knew how to rock and roll and where the good times were at. He had many hobbies and spent lots of time volunteering, reading history, rooting for local sport teams and enjoying the night sky, but most of all, Patrick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always made time for his family while traveling the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Lia, children, Andrew (Christine) McInereny, and Alexander (Cassandra) McInerney. He was the proud grandfather of Josephine, Margot, Claire, Emmett, Alivia, and Aubrey. His canine buddy "Smorez" the Pembroke Welsh Corgi will miss him as well.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens, Michigan from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, he will lie in state at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss, Harrison Township, Michigan from 10:00 am until 11:00 am the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be addressed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
