Patrick Molloy, beloved companion, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, at the age of 78. Born on December 17, 1946, in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Maurice “Bud” Molloy and Marguerite Burns Molloy. Patrick's journey through life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his work and his deep love for family.
After completing his education at Emmetsburg Catholic School in 1964, Pat dedicated a period of his early adult life to serving in the Army where he was stationed in Germany. This experience enriched him and shaped his perspective on life, instilling a strong sense of duty and discipline that carried him throughout his career.
Pat's professional life and the love of outdoors, led him to seek warmer climates, resulting in a move to Louisiana. It was here that he found not only favorable weather but also the love of his life, Lucille Butler. Together, they made their home in Natchitoches, where they lived for the past 15 years, creating a shared life filled with joy and companionship.
Left to cherish his memory are his closest companion, Lucille Butler; his siblings, Maureen Kliegl of Emmetsburg, IA, Jim Molloy and his wife Judy of Summerfield, FL, as well as Margaret Nelle, Jean Egermayer, and Mary Jo Orth, all of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and infectious spirit.
Pat is reunited in heaven with his parents, Bud and Marguerite, his dear sister MaryAnn Verbik, and his brothers-in-law Pat Kliegl, Woody Egermayer, Walt Verbik, Ray Nelle, and Bob Orth, as well as other extended family members and friends who went before him.
