Glenda Faye Davis, born on February 3, 1944 and was the sixth child born to Edgar Willard Mitchell and Pinkye Mitchell. She passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. A graduate of Many High School, Glenda dedicated her professional life to her career in Fort Worth, Texas, where she worked until her retirement. Following her retirement, she moved to Natchitoches to be closer to her beloved family.

Glenda cherished her role as a musician and found immense joy in playing the piano and singing gospel music, which undoubtedly enriched the lives of those around her. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, where her love for music and faith resonated.

In her later years, as her health began to decline, she became a resident of Natchitoches Community Care. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Natchitoches Community Care for their exemplary care and compassion. Their unwavering support was invaluable, along with the dedicated staff at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, who provided constant care during her time there.

Glenda's family legacy includes her children: Debra Gonzales, Stephen Eckert, and Lisa Moore; and her ten cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Bruce Mitchell and his wife Nita, Louise Martin, Kerry Mitchell, and Kent Mitchell and his wife LeeAnne. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles Mitchell and Keith Mitchell.

A graveside service will be held to honor her memory on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Fort Jesup Cemetery, located at 199 Geoghagan Road, Fort Jesup, Louisiana 71449 with Bro. Bill Hudson officiating.

She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories woven through her love for music and devotion to family. Glenda Faye Davis will be missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.  We take comfort knowing she is finally at HOME and is at peace throughout eternity.
