Gwendolyn Fay Davis, lovingly known as (DeeDean, GiGI or Ms. Davis), age 65 passed away peacefully on November 7 2025 at home with her family by her side.
Born on September 16, 1960 in Pineville, Louisiana, Gwen was the beloved daughter of the late Mildred and Neary Williams Sr. She grew up in New Orleans, LA where she attended and graduated from George Washington Carver High School where her vibrant personality and love for life began to shine.
Gwen was a woman of many talents and passions but her creativity, energy, and compassion showed throughout Cooking. Cooking was one of her biggest passions.
Beloved wife of Barry Lee Davis Sr., for 29 years, sharing a life full of love, laughter, and adventures together.
Gwen faced life with incredible strength and grace, especially throughout her courageous battle with gallbladder cancer. Despite countless setbacks and hurdles, she kept fighting, with faith, determination, and the same radiant spirit that defined her entire life.
She was a Loving mother of her children:Whitney S. Picou and Barry Davis Jr., Loving sister of Neary Jr, Christopher III(Gracie) of New Orleans and Sisters; Rebecca and Cindy of New Orleans Shernail and Rockell of Austin Texas, Adrian of Fort Worth Texas and Cassandra of New Orleans. One Grandson LaPaul Brysen Mccallister and a host of Nieces, Nephews Family and Friends.
Gwen is preceded in death by her parents Neary Sr. and Mildred Williams; Brother Kelvin Williams and her grandparents.
Gwen will forever be remembered for her Cooking, her bold spirit, and her boundless love for her family and friends. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
