Patrick “Pat” Lewis Riddle, 63, passed away on July 30, 2024, at Mission Hospital with his family by his side.
He was a native of Buncombe County and the son of the late Walter Nelson and Margaret Hendrick Riddle. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, Keith Riddle, sisters, Marsha Goss, Teresa Lane, and Sharon Scott. Pat was a father, husband, uncle, and grandfather. His whole world revolved around his wife, children, and grandchildren; they fulfilled him beyond measure. Pat was known for his handy man work throughout the Asheville area. Pat also came to know the Lord and enjoyed the many visits from Pastor Massey. He was so grateful for their conversations and appreciative of Pastor Massey’s willingness to spend time with him.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Angela Riddle, of Candler; three daughters, Whitney Hunnicutt, of Hendersonville, Kimberly Riddle, of Candler, and Tabitha Riddle, of Burnsville; one stepdaughter, Haley Engle, of South Carolina; sister, Linda Johnston, of Candler; brother, James Riddle, of Andrews; and six grandchildren, Kaley Newell, Macen Clubb, Zoe Goforth, Araya Riddle, Abel Banks, and Braydon Banks.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Stoney Fork Missionary Baptist Church with Reverends Jeff Massey and David Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Candler.
The care of Mr. Riddle has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
