Canyon Country - Patrick Hugh Shea was born on November 10, 1963, in Northridge, California, and passed away peacefully in Santa Clarita, California, in August 2025. He was the son of the late Philip Harrington Shea and Thelma "Joyce" Shea (née Hoover).
Pat grew up in the Saugus/Canyon Country area of California, alongside his sisters: Kathy Carpenter, Colleen "Kitty" Vang, Maureen "Micki" Vang, and Eileen "Peggy" Naillieux. He spent his childhood in what was originally Saugus, later renamed Canyon Country in 1968.
An active and athletic child, Pat participated in Canyon Country Little League, Babe Ruth Baseball, AYSO soccer, Pop Warner Football, and Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation basketball and flag football. He attended Honby Elementary, Sierra Vista Junior High, and Canyon High School. At Canyon, he played Varsity Co-ed Badminton and proudly joined the school's inaugural soccer team.
After high school, Pat moved to Boston, Massachusetts, where he trained as a Tool and Die Maker under the mentorship of his uncle, Charlie Shea. He later returned to California, where he married Kim Walker in December 1990. Together, they had three children-Glenn, Phillip, and Danielle-and one grandson, Koda.
Throughout his life, Pat enjoyed and excelled at softball, bowling, billiards, and darts. He was a proud member of the Gutter Punks Bowling League and cherished the friendships he built through those activities.
Pat was best known for his kindness, his deep love for animals, his willingness to lend a hand to family and friends, and his sharp sense of humor. His memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
