Patrick Stack
Patrick Stack, 62, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, surrounded by his adoring family.
Pat, as he was lovingly known, was the hardest working man, fittingly passing on Labor Day. He was the kindest father, a devoted husband, and a man who never had an enemy. Pat's warmth, smile, and hugs left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved his family above all else and would do anything for his children.
Pat found great joy in being a grandfather to his three granddaughters, who brought him immense happiness. A quiet man with an adventurous spirit, he encouraged confidence in his children, never missed a game, and created cherished memories with family boat trips along the Mississippi River.
He married the love of his life, Kathryn "Katie" Miller, on Christmas Eve in 1987 after meeting through family on Katie's first day of work. Their marriage of 38 years was built on love, laughter, and friendship.
Pat is survived by his beloved wife Katie; his children Patrick (Candace) Stack, Maggie Stack, and Kyle Stack; and his adored granddaughters Reign, Isabella, and Olivia. He is also survived by his siblings Kate (Robin) Butler, Sean (Patti) Stack, and Margaret (Frank) Cortes, and sister-in-law Nancy Stack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Christina Stack, and his brother Edward Stack.
A visitation will be held Monday at 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Vandenberg Funeral Home, Tinley Park. Funeral services for Patrick will take place Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Disciples Church, 6363 183rd St Tinley Park, Il 60477
Memorial donations may be made in Patrick's name to Disciples Church.
Pat will forever be remembered for his love of family, his fearless encouragement, and the warmth he brought into every room.
