Patrick Anthony Thomas

It is with heavy hearts and a lifetime of fond memories that we say goodbye to Patrick Anthony Thomas of Moore, Oklahoma, who passed away from this life on November 24, 2024, at the age of 76. Born in Long Island, New York, on December 31, 1947, Patrick was the son of Joseph Eugene Thomas and LaWillia Fern (Eaton) Thomas. Both parents have preceded him in death, along with his sister, Virginia Walker.
He leaves four children to cherish his memory – Timothy Thomas and wife Christina, Sara Thomas, Robert Replogle and wife Angel, and Dawn Bailey and husband Shay; along with grandchildren Payton Thomas, Jeremy Thomas, Kinley Thomas, Gavin Replogle, Dalton Replogle, Christopher Race, Damion Starr, Christopher Ronny, and Destinee Hoffman; and a host of great-grandchildren. Patrick is also survived by his brothers, Chris Thomas and wife Pam, and James Thomas and wife Dawn; his sisters, Terri Barnett and husband Bill, Joyce Smith, Nelly Handy, and Cathy Medina.
Patrick was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a mechanic during his tour of Vietnam. His time in the military was an incredibly important period in the story of his life, and the pride he felt as a Navy man inspired younger generations in the Thomas family to join the military themselves. After receiving an honorable discharge for serving his country, Patrick went to work as a truck driver, work he thoroughly enjoyed until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed building guns, collecting knick-knacks, watching classic westerns on TV, and was an avid reader of many subjects. He was also a passionate outdoorsman who took any opportunity to go hunting or fishing, and he had many fond memories of his family's beach vacations.
Most of all, Patrick enjoyed spending time visiting with his family, particularly quality time with his grandchildren, all of whom he adored. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. As we honor his memory, let us be reminded of all the good he was able to accomplish during his time on this earth, a legacy of strength and love that will forever endure. Patrick will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
