Patrick Weber Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 7, 2024.
Patrick Noble Weber passed away peacefully on August 4, 2024, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with a rare form of soft tissue sarcoma. Born in Torrington, Connecticut, Patrick graduated in 2001 from Torrington High School, before embarking on military service and finally making his permanent home in West Suffield, Connecticut.
Patrick's journey is a testament to his courage and the deep love he had for his family. He is survived by his dedicated, loving wife, Kacie Wittke, the light of his life, his son Aaron, and his best pal, his dog Charlie. His loving parents, Suzanne (Vaccari) Weber and Jon Weber, and devoted in-laws, Jean and Rudi Wittke, were a constant source of support and strength throughout his battle. His sister, Alison Keller and husband Andrew, brother, Jonathan Weber and wife Andrea, and sister-in-law, Jennifer Wittke and husband Henry Farhad, all shared a close bond with Patrick, with unwavering love and encouragement. Patrick's loving nieces and nephews Estelle, Tristan, Juniper, Orson, and Gavin, brought joy and light into his life, and him to theirs.
Patrick was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United States Army from 2001 to 2009, including five years of active duty and two years of reserve service. He fought bravely on the ground in Operation Iraqi Freedom twice, and his dedication to his country was a significant part of who he was. After his military service, Patrick continued to serve his community as a Corrections Officer at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institute in Suffield.
Patrick was a faithful New England sports fan, spending many games up at Fenway and Foxboro, and tailgating with his Sunday Family. He also loved craft beer and was a loyal Treehouse Brewery patron. Some of his best memories were built while traveling, especially to Hawaii for his honeymoon with Kacie and his yearly trips to Cape Cod with his family and friends. Patrick was an incredible chef and baker. His homemade cupcakes and icing were the best in the world, and he perfected his pizza making skills down to the homemade dough. He showed his love by doing for his family, whether it was taking on projects around his beloved home or building an unbelievable firetruck costume for Aaron for Halloween.
Over the last six years, Patrick has faced his illness with a resilience that has inspired everyone around him. He demonstrated what it means to fight, to persevere, and to never give up, even in the face of relentless adversity. Patrick and Kacie's partnership and the strength of their bond was evident and an incredible privilege to witness. Patrick's life is marked by his love for others and his legacy will live on through his son, precious Aaron, who will grow up knowing his father was a true hero in every sense of the word.
Patrick is also survived by the many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who supported and loved him throughout his journey. There are too many people who helped to name, and this is a testament to how important he was to everyone. He loved them all too.
A special thank you to the doctors and clinicians at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Hartford Hospital, who cared for Patrick over the past six years. His family is eternally grateful for their expertise, life sustaining treatments, and loving care he received throughout the duration of his illness.
Patrick's story is one of resilience, love, and unwavering strength. He will always be remembered for the incredible person he was and the enduring mark he left on our hearts.
Patrick's family will share all service information via his memorial website, including receiving hours, a celebration of life party, and a military ceremony, to be scheduled for the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick's memory can be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering's Sarcoma Center, as well as a trust fund established for Aaron, for his education and future: https://everloved.com/life-of/patrick-weber/.

...at MacDougall, Patrick was posted as our school officer; an outstanding officer, an absolute professional. Every morning, prior to school call; we few teachers and Patrick would gather around a pot of coffee listening to his stories, our stories, and a few embellished stories. It made our day...everyday he was on shift.
Loss.
Absolute loss of words. We honor Patrick today and days ahead ..in my heart. Our colleagues hearts. This one hurts. We loved the guy.
Godspeed,
The culinary instructor,
