Patrick (Pat) Stephen Welschmeyer, 71, of Wellsville, passed away Monday, September 22, 2025, in Mexico City, Mexico, while previously living throughout Mexico (Acapulco), and Columbia, MO.

Pat was born March 17, 1954, in Mexico, MO. He was the son of Joseph Welschmeyer and Eileen (Worland) Welschmeyer.

Pat worked as a carpenter, building houses in St. Louis and surrounding suburbs, and even worked on the Callaway County Nuclear Facility. Pat also designed and built furniture. Pat was also fond of travelling and making friends with people throughout his journeys.

Pat is survived by his two sons, Josh Welschmeyer and wife, Misato, of Yakima, WA; one grandchild, Jitsu; Jeremy Welschmeyer and wife, Lacey of Kansas City, MO. One brother, Harold Welschmeyer of Mexico, MO; Three sisters: Jane Bellinghausen and husband, Bob, of Columbia, MO; Barbara Jones and husband, Larry, of Fulton, MO; and Mary Beth Strassner and husband, David, of Swiss, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eileen (Worland) Welschmeyer, his sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Richard Miller, and his brother, Jim Welschmeyer.

The family will hold private services at a later date.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice. Donations may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates Street, Wellsville, MO 63384.
