Patrick M. Westerberg

Patrick Westerberg, 47, of Big Lake, MN went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2026. Patrick was born in Duluth, MN and arrived in Patrick fashion... in an ambulance. He was a proud Marine Corps Veteran and he earned the title of Marine in 1997. He was a Motor Transport Mechanic and served mostly at Camp Pendleton, CA. In 2003, Patrick deployed with his unit to Kuwait/Iraq. He felt it was a duty and privilege to serve this great country.

Patrick was not just a great Marine, he was a loving Husband, Father, Family, and Friend. If he wasn't teasing you, he didn't know you well. He enjoyed life and talking to anyone. He loved to talk about many things especially hunting, ice fishing, the Corps, and also, tell many other childhood stories. His smile brightened up the room and he gave the best hugs.

Patrick was a loyal and dedicated employee of 21 years as a Truck Technical Advisor at Element Fleet Services. He was trusted and well liked by his colleagues and friends. Patrick was a great provider, and a hard worker. He was dependable and worked as long as he could while going through treatments.

His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts. Patrick's journey began in 2022 and now his 4-year battle with service-related Cancer is over. He wanted his passing to be a reminder to seek care when you think something is wrong and get checked early.

Patrick is survived by his wife Rebecca, son Abram, mom Debbie, brother Paul (Megan), sisters Pamela (James), Gina (Josh), Faye (Rob), his nieces and nephews, His aunts and uncles, many cousins, and family and friends. Patrick is preceded in death by his grandma Lorraine and uncles Kenny and Ernie.

A Celebration of life will be on March 7, 2026 with Visitation of family and friends at 9:00-11:00, Service at 11:00 at the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in Big Lake, MN. Lunch will follow. After lunch, Patrick's ashes will be placed in the columbarium underneath the flag pole with Veteran honors at Riverside Cemetery in Monticello.
