Patrick Michael Wisecup, 56, of Chillicothe, Ohio went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a valiant fight against an extended illness. He was born January 21, 1968, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Michael V. and Patricia K. (Adams) Wisecup.
He is survived by his son, Campbell Wisecup of Chillicothe; stepfather, Chris Shaw of Florida; his fiancé` Loretta Leedom of Bainbridge, her sons Brandon, Matt (Kati) and Andy (Kristen) Leedom; grandchildren Emilee, Alaina, Bently, Easton, Hadleigh, Hayleigh, Hensley and Charlie Jo; sister Cassie (Steve) Beavers; brother Carl (Kelly) Shaw; niece McKenzie Reutinger; great niece Delilah and several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
In addition to his parents Patrick was preceded in death by his sister Gretchen Knisley; niece Leslie Knisley; nephew Ethan Knisley and Uncle Malcom Adams.
Shortly after graduating from Paint Valley High School, Patrick joined the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an embassy guard. One of his fondest memories was being able to shake President Reagan’s hand. He served the Twin Township community as a fire fighter for several years and worked at Kenworth for 25 years. Patrick was also a Ford man collecting several vehicles through the years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed taking the kids on their first hunt and teaching them how to field dress.
Patrick love to serve others and his last act of service was giving the gift of donation where two people received a kidney and two others regained vision.
A graveside service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Twin Township Cemetery with Rev. Brett Smith officiating and military honors by the United States Marine Corps and the Ross County Honor Guard.
