Patsy Cartmel, 100, of Catlettsburg, KY went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Patsy was born June 19, 1924 in Catlettsburg, KY to the late Herbert and Rub (Nolan) Elliott.
Patsy was a member of Bear Creek Methodist Church and loved the Lord. She enjoyed serving him in any capacity. Patsy was a homemaker and loved her family and enjoyed taking care of them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Greenville Cartmel; brothers Claude Elliott, Bill Elliott, John Elliott, Ernest Elliott, Paul Elliott and Edgar Elliott; and sisters Jenny Lemaster, Katherine Elliott, and Ethel Conley.
Survivors include her children Thomas Edward Cartmel, Sandra Lee (Bill) McGuire, Diana Lynn McGuire, Ruby Denise (Les) Carter, and Marilyn Ruth Gibson; grandchildren Amanda Jones, Katelynn Menshouse, Trish Hutchinson, Kimberly Hall, Billy McGuire, Kevin McGuire, Patty McGuire, Chris Carter, Jessica Menshouse, Samantha Bayless, Kendra Adams, and Jimmy Gibson; great grandchildren Gage Hutchinson, Bryce Hutchinson, Hayden Hall, Sawyer Hall, Carter McGuire, Lily Menshouse, Sophie Menshouse, Brody Bayless, Kinley Bayless, Makenna Adams, Blake Adams, and Jonah Menshouse; great great grandchildren Mila Menshouse and Rogan Hutchinson; and sister Ernestine Fortner.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Noah Wilks officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Friday, October 25, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Cartmel and her family.
