Marsha Lou Cartmel
Marsha Lou Cartmel was born January 28, 1943, to Roy Pauley and Clara Marie (Eichman) Schmitt. She walked through Heaven's Gate on July 16, 2025. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Sister Ruth Marsh and many other siblings, husband Richard Albert Cartmel, daughter Shirley Ostewig, sons Ricky Cartmel and Ralph Organ, Great-great grandson Gabriel Sizemore, Faithful Companion and Dog Maggie. Survivors include her son Ed and Christy Organ, son Larry & Nancy Berkhardt, Daughter Tina Cartmel; Grandchildren: Melissa Organ, Amanda & Benton Cope; Michael and Mathew Organ; Alexis, Ryan and Chloe Berkhardt, along with numerous great-grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Her church family and many precious friends.
Marsha worked and was retired from Lane Bryant in Indianapolis. Marsha attended the First United Methodist Church in Ingalls, where she enjoyed volunteering at the food bank and many other community events. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a strong woman with a heart full of love to share.
Funeral Service for Marsha Cartmel will be at 12:30p.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227, with calling from 10:30-11:30am for family, and 11:30-12:30pm, for friends until the time of service. Pastor Mary Cloud will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
