Early in the morning on March 24, 2022, Patsy Ruth Creed of El Reno, Oklahoma entered her new life in heaven. She is surrounded by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her brothers Jack and Mark, sister Mary, her mother Ruby Mae, and her beloved grandmother Mrs. W.B. Woolard.
Patsy was born in Durant, Oklahoma on July 10, 1941. Her mother, Ruby Mae Woolard, passed away early in life.
Patsy along with her brothers and sister were raised in the Baptist Children's home in Waxahachie, Texas.
She graduated from Sherman High School in Sherman, Texas where she lived with her aunt and uncle, Harold and Margret Woolard. Patsy excelled in basketball while in her senior year at Sherman.
Pat moved to Oklahoma City after graduation to live with her Aunt Margene and Uncle Bill Woolard. Patsy worked at an insurance company there for several years, at this time she met Howard Schweitzer from Calumet, Oklahoma. They later married and resided on a farm in Calumet. After several years they welcomed their daughter Becky Schweitzer, born on February 26, 1966.
You could always find Pat at a sports event, she and Becky rarely missed a Thunder game (whether in person or on TV), or Nascar races. She also supported all her nieces and nephews in school sporting events such as wrestling, basketball, and baseball.
Patsy loved people and was the life of the party, she was outgoing and never met a stranger, enjoying both life and people. One of her especially endearing traits was her quick wit.
At a motorcycle race Patsy attended, she met the love of her life, William Scott Creed. They were married and spent 45 wonderful years together.
Many weekends were spent together with Scotty and Becky at Dallas Motor Speedways as well as enjoying time traveling in their motor home.
When not traveling, you could find her during the week, working for Bud Chronister at Farmers Insurance in El Reno, Oklahoma.
Pat will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Scotty, daughter, Becky and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
