Patsy Ann Furrow, affectionately known as Trish, was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend. Born on March 7, 1937, in Middletown, Ohio, she traversed a life that was both rich and resonant, ultimately journeying to her eternal rest on September 27, 2024, in Troy, Ohio.
Patsy’s foundational years were spent in Middletown where she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to both her education and family values. She graduated from Middletown High School and carried the lessons of her youth into her adulthood, forging a path marked by dedication and hard work. For three decades, she was integral to the team at Paddy's, fostering relationships and a spirit of camaraderie that would define her professional life.
Patsy was not only a champion of service but also a beacon of warmth and humor. Her personality shone brightly; she was known for her funny, dry wit, intelligence, kindness, and a heart expansive enough to embrace all those in her orbit. Friends and family alike found solace in her presence; she was always there when you needed her, a steadfast supporter with a genuine love for those around her.
As a mother, her proudest accomplishments rested in the lives and successes of her children—Denise Furrow, Dennis Furrow (Annette), and Daniel Furrow. This pride radiated through every interaction, enriching her relationships with her beloved granddaughter, Ashley Baker (Chris) and great-grandson, Roman. Her legacy will continue to thrive in the stories, laughter, and cherished memories that surround her family.
Patsy also shared a close bond with her siblings, including brothers Roger Byrd (Natalie) and Jim Byrd (Frances), as well as a sister-in-law, Peggy Byrd, and a brother-in-law, Sam Dishun. Her familial connections extended to many nieces, nephews, and other relatives who were touched by her kindness and grace, solidifying the bonds of friendship that transcended generations.
Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the indelible mark she left on the hearts of many. Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Lena Byrd, along with her brothers and sisters: Norma Jean Bausman, Charles Byrd (Jackie), Floyd Byrd (Nancy), Jenny Cox (Frank), Richard Byrd, Geri Dishun, and Alan Byrd, as well as cherished nieces Cindy and Lisa and nephew Patrick. Each of these departed souls contributed to the rich tapestry of her life, and together they will greet her in the afterlife.
A visitation in remembrance of Patsy will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service commencing at 2:00 PM, both taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel, 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Centerville, OH 45459. This gathering will provide family and friends an opportunity to reflect on her life, share stories, and honor the legacy of a truly remarkable woman.
