Patsy Muriel Cochran Speights

Patsy completed her earthly journey on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet, at age of 79. She was a native of Waynesboro, MS where she was born on September 22, 1942, and resident of Port Allen. Patsy joins her husband of 56 years, David Ellis "Pete" Speights Sr. in heaven, her son, Dwayne Earl Speights; great-grandson, Rhett Wimberley; parents, Charles and Floye Bazor; siblings, Mack and Charles Cochran and Russell "Rusty" Chaney. Patsy is survived by her three sons, David Ellis "Des" Speights, Jr. and wife Donna, Donald Eugene Speights and wife Jill, and Dane Erwin Speights; four grandchildren, David Easton Speights and wife Brittany, Danielle, Max and Jack Speights; two great-grandchildren, Eliana and Easton Speights. Patsy was a graduate of Istrouma High School and a devout and Godly homemaker. She shared her time with those she loved by caring for them. Visitation will be at Sharon Baptist Church, 9433 Section Road, Port Allen, on Saturday, August 13th, 8:30 a.m. until time of religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. Terry Swanson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Patsy was a member of Widow's Might along with other service groups at church. Pallbearers will be Nathan, Marshall, Ben, David Easton, Max and Jack Speights, Jamie Ashford, David Villere, Daryn Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Chaney, Chad, Gary and Mark Cochran.
